Used stamps exchanges.

Why has someone sent me 50 stamps with a note saying .....as its my first swap i am only sending 50 stamps !!!! i had a feeling i would lose out..... and someone didnt disapoint me ..

Very true x I will send another envelope soon x i registered the 1st 50 and was waiting till the rest arrived and would raise the score x the only difference was that a note in the packet distinctly said he was only sending 50 ...... i will carry on regardless x dave .....england

davyprag67 you just had very bad luck in first exchange -in my experience you will receive eventually so many great envelopes that the bad ones become tolerable... and if you do not receive 100 different good condition used stamps in an exchange, you can give a very low rating to that member. i kind of understand if someone has bad experience about losing mail they can think to send in 2 different parts -but in such case you should not register and rate the stamps before you receive the whole lot ! my envelopes to China and Portugal were never registered so i lost 200 stamps... this is also very disappointing isnt it?

I give up with Passarelarock !!! I have had my faith restored by another member ....... I may use this site in the future but at the moment still not happy ...... lesson learned .....

I confirm having received the 2nd lot from him. Slightly better than the first. I updated the rating for that exchange.

Please note that this letter took almost 2 weeks to get here (and that's within Europe) despite having a priority sticker.

Passarellarock ...... if you have no intention of sending these other 50 to myself and other members please say as I am sick and tired of being disappointed on a daily basis when the mail arrives ?? Please put us out of our misery .... I need to move on ... Dave P

Is it only Sveinn who received a second letter?

Myself, I received 50 (of which 10 were damaged) and nothing since then either.

i am still waiting for my second 50 ......

How about registered mail? Will that be better? I know its more expensive but losing mail and resending probably costs the same.

I sent two letters (with 50 used stamps) to everyone, 'cause we have problems here in Italy with the postal service, since they are no longer owned by the state. Many letters have been lost, some were found in the garbage, a few bags of postmen at home .. that they never delivered!

So I thought of doing a wise thing, sending you the stamps in two different letters: I read, however, that this strategy did not like it at all. So I ask again sorry .. and ship only 100 envelopes with stamps at a time!

I'm sorry that this happened. I have talked with him and he has an explanation for this. I asked him to participate in this discussion so you can hear the explanation from him.
Either way sending stamps in two letters is not a good idea.

Testing the Water as you say, and very disgusting, and a pity it was in your first swap, hope you will receive the second letter soon.

I did receive the second letter 2 days later from him , (that was the letter he sent first, then he had sent the second letter 2 days later) I wrote him and told him that it is no a good idea to send two letters, (if one get lost he will sure get 1 star rating) if 100 stamps letter get lost he will not get rated for that and no rating is not a bad rating.

He has just replied and says he sent two letters out ...... one with 50 and the other one with 50 in ..... either he has or was just testing the water !! i will wait a while to see ....... no rush i suppose

I think it would still be worthwhile messaging Danubius as well. This is that member's third infraction in two weeks….

yes it was ...... it didnt seem to accept the code ......... i will take pics as soon as. I cannot believe the note ...... quite cheeky if you ask me . I got 5 stars from my first exchange but feel stung and hope it does not happen again . i will mention re the 5 stars as i was intending to give a 2 !!

I can understand your dissapointment.
You send 100 stamps or you don't join this club when you are not able to send 100 stamps. Totally inacceptable! I agree with shamel96; contact Danubis

You need to take a photo of both the stamps you received and the note and report this to Danubius (he runs this site). This is completely unacceptable.

Is this exchange IT-104 you're referring to? If so, it would appear you have accidentally rated it as a 5 star swap…
