FDC project: firstdaycovers.club

For those interested in FDC exchanges, I have created a special project similar to the 100stamps with a few changes.

There is a catalogue of covers added by the members. And from that catalogue, you chose the covers that you "have" or you "want".

When you send an item, the system will try to match your "have list" with the other members "want list"

For receiving covers you have the "want list" and you have an option to receive only items from that list or a combination of "want list" and random covers.

I agree, maybe it´s simplier like in 100stamps.
And maybe could be interesting to use a credit system, for instance, if you send 4 FDC you have 4 credit points, if you send 1, you have 1.
The costs of sending one single FDC exceeds the cost of the FDC itself.

Initially I wanted to make it exactly like 100stamps. Very simple.

There are people that like surprises and there are people that want a specific item. And I was trying to combine those two. When you send a fdc, the system could either select a member that wanted a surprise or a member that wanted that specific item. You send that item anyway, why not send it so someone that wants exactly that?

To do that, a catalogue was needed. Although useful for those that want to pick, it might be too complicated for everyone else.

Maybe should be interesting to send 3 Fdc At a time to reduce shipping costs.

It is interesting, but I'm afraid that it will be difficult to build up the catalogue.
two possibilities; import a catalogue, or same method as 100stamps.
I sent a message to some of my friends, and some of them have registered as members.
Why you designed in that way? I'm surf there's a reason, it shod be interesting to know what is in your mind to give an opinion. Regards

I would like to have some opinions about how this project would work. I have explained above the difference between firstdaycovers.club and 100stamps.club.

The question is if that idea with the catalogue, the have and want lists is helpful? Is this too complicated and slows things down? Or maybe it would be better to be simpler like 100stamps.club?

of course you ca send the FDC as a cover, but that can only Happen the day of issue.
The day after you can not send them any more, they have turned into CTO's on paper.
you can buy any stamp on the day of issue, used on a post that day makes the envelope a First day cover, smaller post offices will make the value higher in the future.

Sounds Exciting!
I also wanted to exchange regular covers with members!
Maybe this is a silly question but the FDc would be sent inside another cover or the FDC will be sent as the cover?
