Hi there, glad to hear you finally succeeded. It actually relates to an issue I've been thinking about for awhile (well, not that long as I am fairly new to this, but I guess when you're new you question the way things work).
The membership of this club is very European and North American-based, with very few collectors from Asia, Africa or South America. I wonder whether we should embark on an advertising campaign in the various fora all of our members are engaged in, with a view specifically to increase our membership in those parts of the world which currently are underrepresented ? This would increase access to other stamps and may even lead to more postally used stamps from Equatorial Guinea being in circulation.

This is because there are a lot of ignorant people who encourage others that the profile and the requirements in the profile are not important, that it is not in the rules. And then even from these ignorant people, this club looks like worthless stamps will be sent from Holland etc. from the 60s-99s of the 20th century.

@ snowmark, i just received 80% european stamps from brazil,

the advertisement will not change anything, when sending to some countries, there will always be European, Canadian, Australian and American stamps in big % in the envelope
and I forgot the Japanese for shipments received from Asia

we must hope that there is a nice postage

@ laurent - yes, you're right, I also recently sent quite a large percentage of European stamps from Australia to Europe. Perhaps there should be a requirement that a certain percentage of what you send has to be from your own country ? perhaps only 20%, but it would make a difference in some cases.
Nevertheless, there is no doubt in my mind that the chance that more stamps from other parts of the world will start to circulate if there are more members from those parts.
