What do I risk if I cancel an exchange?

Title.

The thing is, the user I have to send stamps right now has crazy expectations I can't satisfy. They only want stamps above 2010, sometimes only after 2018 for some specific countries. No small or old stamps. I have nothing for them especially because I sent my few after-2010 stamps to the previous user. I don't see the point in sending stamps to someone who doesn't want them, just for them to transfer them to the next person.

On the other hand, if I get a big penalty for not playing the game, I will play the game.

Thanks for the clarification but I cancelled the transaction anyway because it was making me feel bad and I ended up postponing for too long as I didn't want to do it. I felt such a relief after cancelling the exchange...

I am glad to hear that I will regain my slot after two months.

Canceling is not encouraged because it would enforce those "crazy expectations". Canceling should be an exception. When you request an address you use one slot. If you cancel, the slot remains ocupaied for 2 months. It's similar to the situation where the exchange would still be in progress for 2 months. Also, that member is added to your blocked list when you cancel.

I agree that wishes are just wishes and that you should not join this kind of club if you have too strict preferences, you don't like surprises, is such a veteran that you have most common stamps, etc. but I want to at least give 20 stamps that satisfy a user's preferences. It feels pointless when you can include ZERO stamps from a wishlist. I feel bad sending such a letter.

profile wishes are just wishes... you can send 100 stamps according to club rules and that is enough... I made over 1000 exchanges - do you think i have the ammount of 2010+ stamps to satisfy all? no. and i also receive A LOT of shit material, that i usually just donate to local school...
