I wrote this message before, but I think that was not the right place, so here again:

I have to say I am very frustrated: I have sent NL 436 to Italy on Febr 15 (in the mailbox), I have sent NL 435 to Brasil, Febr 15 in the mailbox, both 34 days!!!! I have sent NL 438 to Australië, that's 74 days. Makes me sad, I can only send 2 lots of stamps and it looks I lost 300 stamps.
One of my last lots is ont its way for Thailand, I think that will take a lot of time too. If I am lucky this week Spain will arive..........I asked my partners, nothing, I have filed a complaint at Postnl, but I do not expect a solution. I can't be active...against my wish and feeling.

After how many days is a lot considered to be "expired" if it was not registered?

I blocked my own country. So my 3rd lot will not be from the one I just sent too.

Edit: Addresses where I am sending too now are from multi-senders as well.

My complain.
I have sent 2 lots. And received 2 from exactly the same users.
Stamps are allright. But I do not like this for the future.
The requested addresses are not hopefully.

Thank kozou and Jess for your reply. In my case, this user hasnt received a lot. Only one lot he has sent has been registered. I hope he has time to register my lot and also your lot to be registered.

I think that not everybody understands the importance of registering received lots.

Marleen1979, i also have a lot sent to Serbia 40 days ago ...i do not understand why he cannot register your lot -and obviously mine neither- as he does register some others and logs in here? hopefully he registers them soon !

I have a lot sent to Serbia 50 days ago. Recently I have asked the user if he has received it. Indeed he has received it, but due to moving and construction in his house he didn't have time to let me know. I have asked him polite to register my stamps. This was end of April, still he hasn't registered my lot. What can I do?

I am more or less glad that I read this message. I have one lot underway to Iceland for nearly twenty days and I already asked the receiver if the Icelandic mail is good. Unfortunatelly I did not get a reply from him/her.
What happens when a lot is clearly overdue, let say 140+ days. When it happens four times I cannot send any lots anymore.

I will analyse the expired exchanges to see if there are some connections to specific members / countries.

Until then I can say that inactive members don't get their address assigned to anyone. When a letter is registered, a ticket is created for the sender. This tickets only stay in the system for a few days. Usually 3-4 days. At the beginning of the project it was around 7 days.

I know a particular case when a letter was registered after more then 100 days. A ticket was then created and assigned to another member soon after registration. Meanwhile the sender did not login since it sent the stamps more then 100 days before. I think that such cases are exceptions.

I can add a limit to suspend such tickets until they login again. I'll start with 30 days. But again this are only a few cases.

Ill come back when I will know more.

Unfortunately, I also have 4 swaps expired just like Jess18877. Im not sure either they got lost or have been received by user who didn't take any effort to register. I can relate to Stella for having an option that if an user is inactive for awhile he/she can inactivate his account. As to certain addresses/countries which have a higher risk of mail getting lost, there is little what an user can do about that. Stella, I hope your swaps will be registered soon!

I am very happy with the messages of these good and active swappers. I was wondering if Danubius could investigate whether there are certain addresses, perhaps cities, where shipments often / very often do not arrive? I have to admit it's really painful if one sends 100 stamps to some-one who's not active anymore. Jessica wrote: 400 stamps lost, that's crazy. So another question for Danubius: is it possible that, for example, when participants have not been active for a month, their address is not given anymore. Perhaps we should expect a minimum number of swaps per month / per year from each participant. If someone can not be active or does not want to be active for a while, he or she can/has to report that. In this way, the good and active swappers are the victims. Another solution could be to send with a proof of receipt ...............that's going to cost us a lot of money!!!!!!!

I don't know if this will bring Stella relief, but I have sent US-102 to galasekk in Italy, 41 days so far. As I've already received this member's lot, it's a kind of frustrating to think that my packet got lost somewhere...lets be patient, and wait...
