Israel letter returned to me :(
19 Oct 2026, 10:38:42
Today I received my lovely letter I posted to Israel back with "Return To Sender" stamped on it. I looked up why and it's because New Zealand Post has "suspended" sending all mail and parcels to Israel (& Iran). It took 16 days to come back to me, I didn't realise I couldn't send anything there, that's never happened before. I'm so sad as I put a lot of effort into the selection and envelope. Does the exchange need to be cancelled? Can Danuibus help? The ID is NZ159.

@Danubius - thanks, but I do not understand. Fejjoa _girl and I both could not send a letter because our postal service would not deliver to the destination. In both cases cancelation was required. Why do I get a "penalty"? You said "cancelling should be an exception" - I only cancelled because it is not possible for me to send to the destination I was allocated.

@snowmark I have reduced this limitation from 2 months to 1 month. Canceling should be a exception.

Hi, I have canceled NZ-159 and I have added New Zealand -> Israel to the mail restrictions list.

Please see my post from a couple of days ago - it seems when you cancel an exchange because there is no delivery from your country to the destination you lose that slot for 2 months. Doesn't seem fair. @Danubius?
