Exchanges are marked as expired after 3 months. They can still be registered after this date.
In order to resolve this exchanges, the partners can take additional actions:
Register, cancel, mark as sent, mark as not received.
After 6 months, automatic actions will be taken as such:
1. The exchange will be canceled if the sender does not mark it as sent.
2. The exchange will be registered if the sender marks it as sent and the recipient does not mark it as not received.
If the exchange is marked by both partners as sent and not received, the exchange will be considered lost. If the exchange is canceled, the recepient receives a slot back and the address is reasigned.
