...returning the stamps received?

i wonder, if you receive an envelope that has no stamp for your own interests -and instead a lot of stamps the sender writes in his own profile "please do not send me..." if someone just sends back those stamps? if you give them rating 3 and then will have rating 1 instead ...it is as if the sender himself rated his own stamps low ^^ anyway there is no rule that you cannot send back the stamps you received is there... i did not do it yet but considering now

aaronibus62, thank you so much for your comment :) there are many good stamp collectors here too who send really nice 100 stamps exchanges and rating 3 is ok but receiving exchanges with damaged stamps and/or all tiny definitives happens sometimes... registering them is important and preferably showing a photo so everyone can see what has been sent but i really wonder whether should send anything back to that member if picking their address -you risk of not being registered or getting rated 1 or 2 even if you just return their own stamps which they knew were crap anyway... feel wellcome to send me private message also if you like to know more about the cat :)

Sorry to hear about your experience, kozou. I've not sent 100 stamps to anyone as of yet, and I won't until I can ensure a reasonable level of quality. I appreciate you're making me aware of the importance of quality even in sending used stamps. That's something that makes me think if I'm better off setting up trades with others for smaller amounts. I'd rather exchange a small amount that's in good shape than a large bunch where postmarks almost totally obstruct the stamp or the stamps are damaged and not in any exchangeable shape....

By the way, I like your cat. So cute >^-^<

an update, i did return the stamps but they were never registered ! it is not fair. he should register them just as i did his stamps and rated them 3.

and when you pick an address of someone who sent you crappy stamps (rating 1 or 2) -what is the best option? to send them the best stamps you have or return crap? not send at all, i think...

Just as an afterthought,
when you send back the stamps you will have to invest in mail-costs without getting anything in return. Unfortunately just giving the person a 1 star with a bad review will not stop them from doing it the next time.
I think we should all better read the reviews your new partner has got and act accordingly. Until now I did not read those reviews but will do in the future.
And I already try to accomidate the requests of my new exchange partner.

Dear kozou,
I can understand what you feel about members, who you mentioning above. Two great swappers have therefore stopped exchanges through this website. I hope to see them back soon. At first I wouldn't do such thing, sending a bad swap back, but now I won't hesitate.

i understand and kind of agree ;) i was just so bothered with this member´s profile saying NO to all those stamps he sent to me ...ignoring what i wrote in my profile all the same:~ so the stamps were all right (rating 3) as such -even if not a single one for my collections- i was just not happy with the sender´s profile saying no to everything he sent himself ;)

i think that if you send anything, you should also wellcome anything. if you write in your profile eg. "no cto" -you should not send cto either if the partner´s profile says the same thing as yours... i think that to be fair is main thing, as well as sending 100 different and undamaged stamps. not say "no definitives! no cto!" and then send lotsss of those yourself ...that is not "trying your best" ;)

and yes, in most cases i would not mind receiving back the stamps i sent myself as i mostly send nice stamps ;) sometimes even great stamps ^^ so if someone is not ok with the stamps i send, you are wellcome to send them back to me as soon as you pick my address ;)

I understand why you are not happy. Please keep in mind that there interests (countries, years, themes) are optional.

Maybe sending back the same stamps is not against the rules but its against the idea of exchange.

This seems more like a rhetorical question. If you would receive the stamps you have just sent, would you be happy?

Because the exchanges here are done randomly and you don't choose who to sent to, it can happen that you don't have exactly what your partner wants.

Important here is to try your best.
