I want to cancel an exchange because I have nothing from her wishlist but the button don’t exist anymore! Is it lost or somewhere else?

As @fairytale78 sugested, I is dificult to limit multiple accounts. I will try to encourage the use of one account per person.

@wimber4.0, there are real cases where more members of the same family have accounts using the same address. I would not want to limit them.

@laurent, IP is not 100% sure. There are easy ways to avoid this.

@khamus, you can cancel. You have 1 traveling letter, so this should not be a limitation for you.

Members with more then 50 completed exchanges have a limit increase from 9 to 10. Its like having 1 cancel in 3 months mentaining the same limit. For more then 1 cancel in 3 months, the limit drops by 1 for each cancel.

If you have a limit of 10 similtaneous exchanges, you can use it to get addresses. You can use those 10 addresses to send letters or to cancel.

Canceling is an exception. Probably for most members this should be enough. I think it's a reasonable feature. Let's give it a try for 2-3 months and if this is a problem for more members, I will reajust this feature.

I must cancel because due to the COVID-19, my country has ongoing mail suspensions with many countries (Australia - for example).
So this is not a treat, this is a need.
@Danubius - what I suppose to do next time when I get the address from the "black" list?

Those who want to deceive will find ways no matter what Danubius does. I keep track of the multiples and will cancel when I draw one. That i am than limited in the amount of exchanges I can do, so be it. It is rather hard to get nice stamps at the moment. The slowdown doesn’t bother me too much.

I agree with Danubuis. Cancelling should not be too easy an option.

Going back to 1 month cancel would mean you can only cancel 1 exchange per month. If you find a mulitple account user on your way and cancel the exchange, and then select the same person again, you would not be able to cancel that one too. So you'll still be trapped.
I'd say:
First cancellation reduces -1 for 1 month, second reduces -1 for 2 months, third and more reduces -1 for 3 months.
Would that be a fair compromis?

Sorry to say but this is a bad decision. In an ideal world you might be right. But unfortunately there have been some members who are not playing it fair and have created some unpleasant situations. Many members have expercienced that.

Many times those members have multiple accounts. If you want to cancel an exchange with a (unfair)member there is a change you will receive another account from that (unfair) member and you are punished again for 3 months.

Increasing the maximum from 9 to 10 doesn't help with bad members having 4,5,6 accounts.
(probably there more good reasons for cancelling, the bad multiple account members is my main reason)

I have increased the maximum sending limit from 9 to 10. It affects members that have 50 exchanges completed. Hopefully this will help.

I have moved the cancel option to the account home page where you have the list of your exchanges.

Canceling is an option that I did not want to be used easily. You send 100 stamps in good condition to a random member. Preferences on themes, countries, years ar optional not mandatory. There should not be many cases of canceling.

Until now this cancel option was limited by the number of cancels you could do in a month. I have replaced this limitation. Now it lowers the sending limit by -1 for each cancel for the next 3 months. Three months is the time it took a letter to expire. Three months from the time of requesting that address, not the time from when it was canceled.

I don't see it as a punishment. I see it as a cost. You should try to do the exchange you have requested with the random member. You should not hit the cancel button too fast.

To cancel, you have to "click" on your name after the word welcome! On the upper bar of the screen, to the right.
Then, all the pending spendings appear,vwith the button "cancel".

100clubmember I cancel if someone is far too fussy. In other words they want things that many people can not provide - they want only recent or only small countries etc So rather than send them 100 stamps as per club rules and receive a lesser rating I cancel.

Why do i get to see this: "This will affect your sending limit (-1) for the next 3 months. " after I want to cancel.?
This is a setback. It was possible to cancel an exchange every 30 days......

Danubius, this is disappointing, please bring back that possibility every month. I'm not going to spoil my stamps anymore on certain (multi)accounts.

@jessica go to "home" on the frontpage. You will see "Outgoing in progress" and there is a cancel button behind every trade.
