Stamps from Italy.
21 Dec 2018, 21:42:02
I just received one envelope from Italy. Inside were two lots of stamps (200) On the outside were two ID nrs. IT-625 and IT-671. When I go to the "received" page it tells me IT-625 took 74 days and IT-671 took 43 days to get to me. How can this be when both lots were in the same envelope? rather confusing wouldn't you think? Any suggestions/opinions?

I have cleared up the mystery. I received a note from one of the ID numbers asking me to register both numbers because one was from a friend of his/hers who was living in the same place. So I can only assume one had my name longer than the other one and they sent both in one envelope to save on postage. In any case all stamps were great and were certainly within my profile requests. Happy stamping

If these 200 stamps without doubles - is an exellent swap! IMHO

Perhaps the 74 days sender is accumulating the good material to meet your profile criteria
and than the 43 days sender had that available stamps by the time he get your address.

Or 74 days sender 1st sent out envelope was return to him due to unforeseen circumstances and thereafter get your address again in different ID, so he might decided to send all out under one envelope to you.

No matter what is the real fact, he has given you a big surprise. Happy ending story.

That's easy:
74-43 = 31
He waited for 31 days and then sent in a single envelope with the IT-671 also stamps with the number IT-625.

By the way, this was in no way meant to be a complaint or critique of the stamps. Stamps were great. I was just curious as to why it two different times for them to get here.

Yes I know it's the same person with two accounts. It still doesn't explain how the two lots can take two different times to reach me when they are in the same envelope.
