You just gave a 1 to a 6 year old kid....... While you might not like the stamps I’m sure there are many here that you could forward them on to in your next letter, and they would be quite happy to revive them.

Thanks for your support. These stamps costed more than 15.oo eur to match request of this member (animals, painture, royal famy....). And obviously this is not polite to a 6 years old boy. I think today red lines are Crossed. This is not to be tolerated. We must all say stop to these attitudes in club.

1 star seems a bit too harsh, but: he asked not to send CTO and from what I see from the pic, this is a bunch of CTO sheetlets. Maybe on his theme, but a lot of people just don't want CTO (including me), so it's not easy to pass them on to another. I seriously have an icecreamcontainer full of CTO stamps I received that I really don't want (also stated in my profile) but people keep sending them. I've never given a 1 star rating though. I know in the rules it says you should send 100 used stamps, all different, in good condition, but maybe we should reconsider the term "used". I for myself don't see a CTO stamp as really used for instance.

Notice that the word is “profile”, not wish list. If you get 100 used stamps in good condition, you should not give a 1. This is a fun site for people to get stamps from all over the world. If you want specific stuff, go find it on eBay or other auction site. I don’t really care if some of the stuff I get is not of much use to me, it is just fun sending and receiving stamps and letters!

I would not be very happy to receive this either. The receiver said no CTO, and these look like all CTO stamps. CTO stamps are not very desirable among most collectors. CTO is not the same thing as used. CTOs have not gone through the postal system. I asked not to receive CTOs and therefore, I don't send them to anyone either. Like Jeannette, I have a lot of them too that I can't get rid of.

like probably most collectors im not pleased to receive cto either and it´s hard to pass them or find a good use for them :D but that is not a reason to give NEGATIVE rating -if the stamps are all different and undamaged, i think they still deserve a neutral 3 rating :)

You had more than 100 stamps. Not all shetlets.
Some mint stamps and you know. I remember what we sent.
These stamps are not cheap and fully match the club condicions as well as your topic wishlist (not mandatory).

I thought most people in the stamp collecting community wanted more young people to take up the hobby. This kid is 6. I say we encourage him rather than put him down for what was a well intended act!

Although I don't really collect CTO, unless it is local stamps, I would never have rated this so low. I think I might have gone for a 4, at least they have tried to send what is wanted.

I've carefully read all the posts about this set and I do not understand why you are so offensive in protecting your opinion. My point of view is that you have definitely made a mistake. The profile of littleeling exactly says

NO CTOs and list the countries
- oil states
- certain African countries

I can see only this stamps on the photo, so I totally agree with littleeling disappointment, because you haven't fullfilled her profile.

OK, you have fullfiled the rules of the club, so you should have at least 3 starts for this set. But definitely not more, because you have sent exactly what the littleeling doensn't want. And the topic and price of the stamps is not important in this case.

And about the age of your son. Your logic is little bit strange. He is young, so he is protected and can do what he wants? I thint that this should be good school for him. He can learn what is CTO and that all "nice" stamps are not valuable and wanted. The best stamps in my own collection are let say little bit "ugly" at all but they make me more happy than commercial pictures.

You, as the father, shoud explain this situation to your son and not only blindly support him in his mistake.

This deseves, at least 3 star. I agree. But not 1 or 2 star.

you have to consider if the sender accept CTO's, Definitive's and so on. that sender will receive a lot of them, I know as I accept all kind of stamps, my duplicates are starting change from 80-90% commems to about 50%, so I am forced to send some CTO's and defs in every pack. I try to forfill the receivers wishes but it is often hard. The more "I do not want" the more you will get of them, it is simple like that. littleeling Profile is like 5 years old at the dining table, "I do not want this and I do not want that"
