My suggestion is that when there is more than one page to view, create the links of page numbers at the top of the page to make navigation easier (not only at the bottom), also adding a special link ([First/Last] [Page/Comment]) that directs the reader to the last page (In the case of the Forum, last comment posted). The bottom of the page or the bottom of the last page.
I would also like to suggest, in the case of the Forum, that in the pages that are different from the first, the comment that initiated the discussion should stand out from the rest.
