When I receive an exchange do I send a 100 stamps back to the sender? Or does someone else send them stamps somehow? Not sure I understand how this is supposed to work,

No you don't need to send one back, just be sure to register it on this website. Once you register their envelope, their address will be given to the next person wanting to send stamps. Hope this helps. Welcome to the club :-)
